About Shyla N Sachdev
Dr. Shyla Sachdev is a non-invasive cardiologist practicing at Northern Utah Cardiovascular Associates in Ogden, Utah. She was raised in the Washington D.C. area and completed her undergraduate education at Wellesley College. During her time at Wellesley, she founded an organization dedicated to recruiting physicians to care for the underserved population in the Boston area. Her passion for the organization motivated her to pursue a career as a physician and she then attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Sachdev went on to complete her internal medicine training at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the University of South Florida (USF), where she was elected Resident of the Year as well as Chief Resident. Following her Chief year, she also completed her cardiovascular fellowship at USF. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Sachdev has a keen interest and training in cardio-oncology, congestive heart failure, and women’s cardiovascular disease. She is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Sachdev firmly believes in patient-centered care, in emphasizing patient education, and in treating each patient with the upmost kindness and respect.
In her spare time, she volunteers for a variety of organizations, is active in her alumnae associations, and cheers for the Philadelphia Eagles for her husband. Most of all, she cherishes playing and dancing with their beloved golden doodle, Waffles, who himself is in training to be a therapy dog.
